Author: Why is it so difficult to get your man on the path to health? He grits his teeth and increases the tension in his fist, his knuckles turning white. You can see the sweat forming on his brow as his eyes dash back and forth like a cornered animal. No, this is not a horror movie. It’s your husband feeling a sudden shot of anxiety as he decides to go to the hospital. Why is it so difficult to get him to go to a doctor? Is it the cost?
Average visits to a doctor can range from P500 to a thousand pesos. It may seem like a big amount but if you think of the treatments and medications you could have avoided with a simple checkup, it doesn’t seem like much. Is it the time? If your man can dedicate a whole morning to round of golf and several hours drinking the night away, then why not two hours at the doctor?
